In the Spanish educational system, (https://www.mecd.gob.es/dms/mecd/educacion-mecd/in/sistema-educativo/sistema-educativo-lomce/sistema-educativo-lomce.png; https://eacea.ec.europa.eu/national-policies/eurydice/content/spain_en) students attend Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO: 13 to 16 years) that prepare students for the Baccalaureate and Vocational Education.

Baccalaureate (2 years) allows access to University. Medium plus Superior Vocational Studies (2+2 years) also allow access to University; in such a case, the recognition of some courses may apply.

A 240 ECTS degree in Chemical Engineering is offered by 42 Universities. Fewer institutions offer masters in Chemical Engineering and they are more diverse (60, 75, 90, 120... ECTS). Ph.D. can be undertaken after completing 300 ECTS.

The following table lists (and provides links to) the Universities offering studies in Chemical Engineering. The list includes all the Universities offering a degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry. Regarding masters and Ph.D. Programs, only the universities offering studies explicitly mentioning "Chemical Engineering" are included.

These criteria exclude masters in Industrial Engineering that many Universities have been traditionally offering as a continuation of the degree in Chemical Engineering. This also excludes masters, such as leather engineering (Igualada) or ceramic engineering (Castelló), that Universities closely connected with their local industry offer as a continuation of their Chemical Engineering degree.
