Scientific and technological cooperation takes place on a global scale.

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering actively engages not only with its European Member Societies and European/non-European Insitutional Members but with a number of organisations and associations within and outside Europe.

NEWS February 2026:
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between EFCE and the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering (APCChE) has been entered into effect as of 31 July 2025. The cooperation between EFCE and APCChE includes:

a)  Exchange of information about scientific activities (conferences, workshops, webinars, etc) and on new and latest developments related to the Chemical Engineering field;

b)  Promotion of activities of common interest on occasion of major events, like ECCE/ECAB in Europe and APCChE in Asia Pacific, like proposals of participation of Plenary Speakers at the conferences, which remain subject to approval by relevant organization committees, .as well development of side events on specific themes, etc.;

c)  Promotion of participation to training sessions or seminars or webinars or summer schools, with particular focus on Process Safety, Innovation, Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality, Food, and Circular Economy;

d)  Industry related initiatives that both parties agree to and find mutually beneficial.

 As part of the agreement, we wish to draw your attention to the following events organised by member organisations of APCChE:

      • 7th IChES (International Chemical Engineering Symposium)
        17-19 March 2026, Yoshida Campus, Kyoto University, Japan

      •  9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Ionic Liquids and Green Processes (APCIL-9)

      • 55th Chemeca
        28-30 September 2026, Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia
        For Chemeca, early fird registrations is specially open for EFCE delegates until 1 August for 2026.

In addition, 20% discount on relevant Sponsorship fees is offered to EFCE-presented companies interested in participating as Sponsor or Exhibitor in the above-mentioned events.
