Hello and welcome to this final EFCE newsletter of 2024.
You will probably hear a lot of us about the upcoming European Congress of Chemical Engineering, together with the European Conference of Biotechnology. ECCE15&ECAB8 is organised by Ordem dos Engenheiros/Colégio de Engenharia and the Portuguese Society of Biotechnology (SPBT) together with DECHEMA and will be held at Lisbon, Portugal, from 8-10 September 2025. The call for papers is now open – for more information, see inside.
We also have more information about the €600 travel grants for early career chemical engineers wanting to attend the congress.
Other highlights from this newsletter: we welcome nominations for the 2025 Danckwerts Lecturer, the Excellence Award in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties, the Excellence Award in Process Safety, the Industrial Innovation Award in Process Intensification, and the Student Mobility Award 2025.
Lastly, the autumn 2024 Spotlight Talks were a great success. If you missed the live event, you can still access the recordings. More information is in the newsletter.
