completed at theComplutense University of Madrid (UCM), Spain, under the supervision of Prof. Félix García-Ochoa and Dr. Miguel Ladero, for which you achieved the best evaluation results in terms of breadth and depth of the study, industrial relevance, innovation, number and quality of publications, and the European dimension.
Jesús Estaban Serrano received his BEng. in Chemical Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Spain, and the University of Texas at Austin (UT), USA,and his MEng degree in Industrial Process Engineering and PhD in Chemical Engineering with European Mention, both from UCM in Madrid, Spain. Currently, he holds the position of a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.
The award was presented in Florence, Italy, on 21 May 2018, in conjunction with the 25th International Symposium on Chemical Reaction Engineering - ISCRE 25.

Dr. LUIS Carlos PEREIRA DE OLIVEIRa
His PhD Thesis on
"Development of a kinetic modeling approach for refining processes treating complex feedstocks"
completed at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, under the supervision of Dr. Max Kolb, was selected by an international jury as the best thesis in terms of breadth and depth of the study, industrial relevance, innovation, number and quality of publications, and the European dimension.
Luis Carlos Pereira de Oliveira received his Masters degree in Process Engineering from the Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal, and his PhD in École Normale Supérieure, Lyon, France. Currently, he holds the position of Research Engineer at IFP Energies nouvelles, Process Design and Modelling, in Lyon, France.
The award was presented in Fuerstenfeldbruck, Germany, on 30 September 2015, in conjunction with ESCRE 2015.

Dr.ir. Marco Meeuwse
His PhD Thesis on
"Rotor-Stator Spinning Disc Reactor"
completed at Eindhoven University of Technology under the supervision of Professor Jaap Schouten, was selected by an international jury as the best thesis in terms of breadth and depth of the study, industrial relevance, innovation, number and quality of publications, and the European dimension.
Marco Meeuwse received his Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Scientist in Reactor Engineering at DSM - Advanced Chemical Engineering Solutions, Geleen, The Netherlands.
The award was presented in Maastricht, The Netherlands, on Wednesday, 5 September 2012, in conjunction with ISCRE 22.

Dr. MAARTEN SABBE
His PhD Thesis on
"Ab initio based kinetic modeling for the simulation of industrial chemical processes"
completed at Ghent University under the supervision of Professor Marie-Francoise Reyniers and Professor Guy Marin, was selected by an international jury as the best thesis in terms of innovativeness, breadth and depth of research, and its industrial relevance.
Maarten Sabbe received his Masters degree in Engineering/Chemical Technology from the Ghent University, Belgium. Currently, he works as a postdoctoral fellow of the Fund for Scientific Research-Flanders at the Laboratory for Chemical Technology, University of Gent.
The award was presented in Prague, Czech Republic, on Sunday 29 August 2010, in conjunction with ECCE-7/CHISA 2010.
