Working Party on Crystallization

 
Objective of the Working Party:

advancement of the theory and practice of crystallization as it relates to the production of bulk crystalline materials ....
 

Principal activities:

  • organization of triennial International Symposium on Industrial Crystallization (most recent - ISIC 19 inToulouse, France, September 2014) and specialized scientific meetings and workshops
  • exchange of information about activities of national working parties on crystallization of the EFCE member countries
  • fostering links to other working parties within EFCE which are active in adjacent areas, such as mixing, reaction engineering, filtration and separation, drying, agglomeration, comminution and classification, characterization of particulate systems
  • evaluation and standardization of methods of measurement; definition of terminology, symbols and units in the field of industrial crystallization
  • development of training at undergraduate and postgraduate level

Under the auspices of EFCE's Working Parties on Crystallization and on Multiphase Fluid Flow

Invited speakers: Matthaus Babler - Royal Institute of Technology KTH, Stockholm;  Richard D. Braatz - MIT, Cambridge, USA; Jacobus (Jos) Derksen - University of Aberdeen, UK; Cristian Marchioli - University of Udine, Italy; Daniele Marchisio - Politecnico di Torino, Italy; Jan Sefcik - University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK

Registration: The registration fee of 600 € (+ VAT where applicable) includes a complimentary bag, four fixed menu buffet lunches (on Friday upon request), hot beverages, welcome aperitif, downloadable lecture notes, wi-fi internet access and accommodation in the CISM guesthouse. If the rooms in the guesthouse are saturated (and if the number of registered students is greater than 40) a reduction of the fee, down to 450 €, will be applied.
