EFCE Spotlight Talks March 2024
Invitation: Welcome to the sixth SPOTLIGHT TALKS SERIES!
This year we have gathered eleven sessions of spotlight talks from eleven of the working parties and sections of the EFCE (Working Parties on Chemical Reaction Engineering, Crystallization, Drying, Education, Fluid Separations, Loss Prevention and Safety Promotion in the Process Industries, Process intensification, Static Electricity in Industry, and Thermodynamics and Transport Properties, and the Sections on Food, and Membrane Engineering). While the organization of this series of online events has found its origin in the times of the Covid pandemic, also now that we are able to travel again, these sessions offer a valuable opportunity to learn more about very specific topics, without having to travel. We consider these Spotlight Talks as a low-barrier opportunity to get involved (or stay involved) in EFCE activities. Covering a wide range of working parties and sections, there will likely be one or more sessions with topics of your interest. We hope that you enjoy some of this year’s Sessions!

EFCE Spotlight Talks May-June 2023
Invitation: Welcome to the 5th SPOTLIGHT TALKS SERIES!
Entering the third year of EFCE Spotlight Talks highlights these as one of the most significant and visible activities of the EFCE Working Parties and Sections. These talks are now seen by the community of practicing (bio)chemical and process engineers as an important means for sharing and disseminating the latest knowledge in chemical engineering science. Given that in September 2023 we will have an opportunity to meet
face to face in Berlin at the ECCE/ECAB conference, this year we are only running the spring series of Spotlight Talks.
This series showcases 8 webinars involving the following Working Parties and the Sections are contributing: Characterization of Particulate Systems, Chemical Engineering as Applied to Medicine, Crystallization, Early Career Chemical Engineers, High Pressure Technology, Multiphase Fluid Flow, Quality by Design, Static Electricity in Industry, Thermodynamics and Transport Properties.
Whatever your area of interest, you are sure to find interesting information on the latest chemical engineering science innovations. Many thanks to all presenters and we hope you'll all enjoy the webinars.

EFCE Spotlight Talks Autumn 2022
Invitation: Welcome to the 4th SPOTLIGHT TALKS SERIES!
With great pleasure, we may declare that during the previous two and half years, the Spotlight Talks have become one of the most significant and visible activities of the EFCE Working Parties and Sections. Originating in the pandemic, and initially intended only as a temporary substitution of the standard scientific events, they have proofed themselves as very vital forms and means for sharing and disseminating the latest knowledge in the chemical engineering science. It is very positive that for 2022 already two series were scheduled. The spring one was very successful, now the newly prepared autumn series is quickly approaching us. The scientific quality is again the primarily sought parameter.
This “Autumn” series proposes eight webinars in which these Working Parties and Sections are contributing: Food, Mechanics of Particulate Solids, Polymer Reaction Engineering, Static Electricity, Energy, Loss Prevention and Safety Promotion in the Process Industries, Process Intensification, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Thermodynamics and Transport Properties.
Dear colleagues and the EFCE friends, do not hesitate to enter with us the enchanting world of the latest chemical engineering science provided to all of us by the autumn Spotlight Talks series. Many thanks to all “TALKERS”, as well as to all of you who are deciding to join us.

EFCE Spotlight Talks Spring 2022

Cordial welcome to the SPOTLIGHT TALKS 2022, organised by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering and already the third in the series.
In the two previous years these highly focused webinars significantly contributed to the dissemination and popularisation of the top chemical engineering science, in spite of the pandemic global circumstances. It is noteworthy these presentations, delivered by leading industrial and academic experts, attracted attention of more than 2000 members of the virtual chemical engineering audience. This year there are eight SPOTLIGHT TALKS hosted by seven EFCE Working Parties, and one EFCE Section.
The contributing Working Parties and the Section are: CAPE, Crystallization, Drying, Education, High Pressure Technology, Mixing, Multiphase Fluid Flow, Membrane Engineering.

The EFCE promotes scientific collaboration and supported the work of chemical engineers and collaborating professionals in 30 European countries representing more than 100,000 chemical engineers in Europe. With its Working Parties and Sections it covers all areas of Chemical Engineering.
EFCE’s Working Parties & Sections are at the core of the organisation and form the scientific engine that drives many of EFCE’s activities. Each of its 20 Working Parties focuses on a specific aspect of Chemical Engineering. They provide an important forum for networking among chemical engineers in Europe. Membership to the Working Parties is drawn from among EFCE’s Member Societies. The five Sections are open to any professional chemical engineer, or a specialist in a related field, who is willing to contribute to the activities of an EFCE Section and of the Federation.

Welcome to the second series of EFCE Spotlight Talks. There will be a series of talks by seven of our Working Parties: Chemical Reaction Engineering, Drying, Loss Prevention and Safety Promotion, Mixing, Multiphase Fluid Flow, Process Intensification, and Thermodynamics and Transport Properties.
Our previous series proved very popular with more than 2000 people signing in to one or more of the series of events. This time we are making a small charge for the series to help cover costs for the EFCE but it will remain free for students. We hope you will find the series stimulating and that it will enable you to sample content from some of our groups that you may not otherwise be able to hear.

The European Federation of Chemical Engineers (EFCE) is organising a series of free virtual spotlight talks on significant topics in Chemical Engineering. Eleven of our technical groups (Working Parties and Sections) are delivering short sessions of three or four talks by
