Excellence Award in Mechanics of Particulate Solids

 
Call for nominations 2019


The EFCE presents a triennial (once every three years) Excellence Award to recognise a PhD thesis or associated paper(s) published in the preceding three-year period, which demonstrate an outstanding contribution to research and/or practice in Mechanics of Particulate Solids. This document describes how this award series will operate and the rules and procedures governing nomination.

The award will comprise:

The 2019 EFCE Excellence Award in Mechanics of Particulate Solids will be presented at the PARTEC 2019 which will be held  Nuremberg, Germany, on 9-11 April 2019. The winner will be invited to deliver a presentation following the award cermony

PhD theses or papers published between 30 November 2015 and 30 November 2018 may be nominated for evaluation, with a closing date of

30 November 2018.

Publication of selected work
 
The successful candidate will be invited to give a presentation at the PARTEC Congress at which the Award is presented. The presentation will be published in the proceedings of the Symposium.
